Roehr Tool Corporation Company Overview

Roehr Tool Corporation designs and manufactures patented Collapsible Core, Minicore and Expandable
Cavity technology for molding threaded parts or parts with undercuts, protrusions or cut-outs.

• Roehr Tool Corporation (RTC) was founded in 1965 to build and sell the patented Collapsible Core
  under the leadership of its founder, George Roehr. Roehr was a mechanical engineer who graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and he developed and manufactured the Collapsible Core in Waltham, MA.

• In the early 1980’s, RTC developed its now popular Minicores for small applications and about a
  decade later the Expandable Cavities for external forming of threads and undercuts was introduced.

• In 1985, long-time RTC employee and shop manager, Paul Catalanotti, bought the company
  from George Roehr.

• In 2006, Progressive Components acquired RTC from Mr. Catalanotti and added RTC’s line of
  products to its Injection Mold Tooling catalog.
